Happened to me on way back from Puerto Vallarta – a German fellow with hairy arms (eww!) immediately took over both armrests for pretty much the entire flight. I think ‘centre seat people’ figure the armrests are compensation for having to take the middle seat. Almost as bad as the ‘must fully recline my chair for the entire flight people.’
