I’ll never forget this day. Diving with Manta Rays near Pedangbai in east Bali in June 2013.

The water was reasonably shallow (<30 feet), so we had plenty of air in our tanks for a long dive.

The rays, and there were several of them, swam above us, very close to the surface.  They were graceful, beautiful and seemingly unbothered by all the attention they were getting.

The reason I dive is for days like this.
